Incredible Dinner at Lupita Taco & Mezcal – with Cheese Crusted Tacos!

In May 2023, I traveled with my family and boyfriend to Los Cabos, Mexico to attend a wedding. We spent a total of 6 days visiting different resorts, sightseeing, and eating Mexican food. On the 2nd day, we had an incredible dinner at Lupita Taco & Mezcal, where we ate cheese crusted tacos, miso clams, and churros.
Lupita Taco & Mezcal
Lupita Taco is located in downtown Cabo San Lucas. The Taqueria and Mezcaleria offers a unique and traditional selection of tacos and dishes. Since this was a family dinner for my cousin’s family and her fiance’s family, my cousin and her fiance took charge of ordering food. They ordered a variety of dishes to start such as guacamole & chips, ceviche, and miso clam. I ordered a Jamaica drink, a sweet drink made of hibiscus or jamaica flowers.
Every dish that I tried was amazing, my favorite was the Traditional beef tongue taco, which was filled with Kombu seaweed sauce, green onion, cilantro, and yellow corn. My boyfriend loved the Mexican “Milanesa” style taco, which was a cheese crusted taco filled with beef, potatoes, garlic, and parsley. For dessert, my cousin ordered churros and flan for the table to share. I was so full, but I had to try the churros, it was so good!
Our table was upstairs, which was very nice and peaceful in the beginning because it was just our group and every other party sat downstairs. Throughout the night, there was a live band playing classic American rock music. The band also sang happy birthday songs to customers.
Once we finished dinner, we went back home and slept.
