In May 2023, I traveled with my family and boyfriend to attend a wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico at the Nobu Hotel. We spent a total of 6 days visiting different resorts, sightseeing, and eating Mexican food. On the 4th day, we attended a wedding at the Nobu Hotel, which had the ceremony on the beach, followed by a reception with a live mariachi band, and fireworks!

Nobu Hotel

Nobu hotel was a 30 minute drive from Malvilla at Quivira. It looks so close on Google Maps, but in order to get into Nobu, we had to go through the front gate (15 mins) and then drive an extra 15 minutes to reach Nobu.

Ceremony

My cousin got married on the beach, which was beautiful as the altar was decorated with pink flowers.

Cocktail Reception

After the ceremony, it was time for the cocktail reception. There was a live mariachi band playing mariachi music. Servers came out with hors d’oeuvres of miso cod (Nobu’s signature dish), deep fried peppers stuffed with cheese on top of a tomato-based sauce, and shredded beef buns. There was also a lovely shelf filled with coconuts, which informed us of our table numbers.

Fireworks

After the cocktail reception, we sat down for dinner. It was getting a bit chilly because of the wind, but I was prepared and brought a jacket. It was incredible to see my cousin and her husband dance together, and they surprised everyone by encouraging us to join in on their dance. When we were all gathered to the dance floor, all of sudden I hear boom. I looked behind me and it was fireworks. WOW! I couldn’t believe they had fireworks! It was beautiful. Once the fireworks show ended, we sat back down, and the food began to come out.

Dinner

My cousin and her husband had a separate table from us. Their table was decorated beautifully. While our table was decorated with a bouquet of flower and a beautiful menu.

The dinner was delicious. For appetizer, I ate the Cured Fish Ceviche with Tomatillo and Mint. For entree, I ate the Veal Cheeks with Tamarind Sauce, Kale, and Sweet Potato Puree. Lastly, for dessert, I ate the Classic Neapolitan Flan with Caramelized Sauce.

Dancing

After dinner, my boyfriend and I danced the night away. We had a blast laughing, drinking, and dancing! Overall, the wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico at the Nobu Hotel was a wonderful choice for a destination wedding.
